If
you are not familiar with Francie, she is the world's finest
consulting detective since Sherlock Holmes. The great-granddaughter
of François Le Villard*, the esteemed detective at the Deuxième
Bureau in Paris -- he worked with Holmes around the turn of the 19th
Century -- Francie had a career as a broadcast journalist but left
it to come to the Monterey Peninsula where her investigative genes
kicked in and she began solving cases that were either too big or
too small for law enforcement.
These stories have been released in twelve volumes.
